Attaching your SoftScreen
It is very important that the surface to which you attach the Velcro® tape is thoroughly cleaned.
Use warm soapy water to clean the surface of the window frame to which the self-adhesive tape will be attached. (On aluminium or steel, rub lightly with emery paper or wet and dry.)
When dry, use the alcohol wipes provided, or methylated spirits, to remove any grease or residue from the surface. Allow to dry thoroughly.
This is extremely important!
If the surface is not clean and dry the Velcro® adhesive will not stay attached to the surface of the frame.
Line up one end of the tape with the top of one side of the window frame. Peel off the start of the backing cover and press the Velcro® tape onto the window frame.
Continue pressing the self-adhesive tape onto the frame, cut off at the corners and continue all around the frame.
We recommend using a teaspoon to press on the tape for good adhesion. Please be careful when applying the tape as there is no adjustment after it is positioned.
The Velcro® tape can be joined anywhere on the frame.
LEAVE FOR 24 HOURS FOR THE ADHESIVE TO CURE.
After 24 hours attach the SoftScreen to the tape, lining up the top, sides and bottom. Any creases in the screen will disappear with use.
